The ANP M 51 is a modern all rubber moulded mask. It is the resut of a research made by MAS ( Manufacture d’ Armes de Saint Etienne ) Military Industrial Etablishment  of Saint Etienne ( Manufacture d’ Armes de Saint Etienne )

  The mask is designed from different old French and American masks. The general facepiece shape of the mask is issued from the French Civil Protection mask C 38, the harness, connection to the facepiece from the Fernez type 38 and from the American General Service masks for the two temple straps.

The exhaust valve is th same as-on the  Fatra FM 1 / FM 3 masks.

The filter is of special patern assembly. It is constituated of a Rf 51 first filtering can, connected to the mask by means of a rubber corrugated hose and containing charcoal on which are screwed two Cf 51 filters.

The ANP M 51/M 53 is the lightweight version of the ANP M 51, equiped with the Cf 51 filter

It is transported in a small bag, worm at the waist belt, with a fast every ready opening system.

Following an agrement between France and Belgium, this mask has also equiped the Belgian Army.

Same manufacturing as the 1^st  ANP M 51 / M 53
serie but with a improved and smaller exhale
valve grid.

The mask is equiped with the Cf 51 filter

Same manufacturing as the 1^st  ANP M 51 / M 53 serie but with a improved and smaller exhale valve grid and with a special connecting fitting allowing to mount an American M 11 filter in place of the standard Cf 51 filter

Same as the standard M 51 / M 53 but with optical eyepiece mounting allowing to use binoculars. An improved exhale valve grid inhibit th exhale moisture to flow up to the binoculars.

The mask is equiped with the Cf 63 / 67 filter.
