The French horse gas mask is designed on the same principle as the Tampon T / TN.

It is a multi layer of imprgnated gauze bag covered on the upper side by an oil impregated fabric cover to protect against rain.

Straps, boucles and hooks are provided to tighten the mask on the horse head.
