SALVATOR  Défense Passive and Civilian Commercial Market, 1939.
As many French pre-war Civilian Defense masks, the SALVATOR mask is designed around the  ANP T 31 / TC 38 metallic frontpiece.

It is made of a one single cut out piece of thick rubber sheet, glued at the chin with two large diameter Rhodoïd eyepieces setted in an aluminium rings who are tightend on the facepiece by a steel band.

A six point rubber head harness complete the mask

Three rubber quality has been used to make the SALVATOR masks, one smooth black rubber,one smooth grey / beige rubber and one thinner black rough rubber

The SALVATOR mask has been delivered to the civilian population by the Défense Passive at the begenning of the war. It also has been sold on the commercial market, few with a corrugated hose

The SECURIT mask has been delivered to the civilian population by the Défense Passive at the begenning of the war and, also, has been sold on the commercial market, few with a corrugated hose.

The SECURIT mask is quite similar to the SALVATOR model, unless the smaller eyepieces and the five points rubber straps head harness.

Two quality of material has been used for the manufacturing of the masks, grey and beige smooth thick rubber
