This hood mask covers the whole head and the neck.

It is made of three parts, a facepiece, in flat moulded rubber, an hood extention, in flat moulded rubber with a V shaped opening on the back and a thin soft rubber sheet skirt who closes the V opening of the hood on the back of the head and around the neck. The three parts are glued together.

The mask is tightened on the head by six canvas ribbons tied together on the back of the head. The thin rubber skirt is folded around the neck and tightened by means of a hook allowing an airtight seal.

The eyepieces are the same as on ShM 41 / GP 5 masks.

A permanently attached corrugated hose is located on the front of the mask.

It must be connected directly to a filter or to a blowing device allowing a better breathing to wounded people and inhibiting a poisonous gas entrance around the neck.

The twin exhale valves are located in a melallic housing on the right side of the facepiece.
