The
PMG mask is Russian design based on the American M9 A1 mask
As many Russian design, it is a hooded mask unless the openings on the hood allowing to reduce the perspiration. The shaped grey / white rubber moulding of the facepiece includes atransversal Tissot vents. The double exhalation valves are included in a rubber casing moulded with the facepiece. The eyepices of small dimensions are disposed in flat plan, allowing to use binoculars. The filter is covered with a wool canvas to prevent the collapse of the filter with sand. A small carrying bag must be attached to belt of the soldier. It was also in use in the Bulgarian Army.
