PA 2000  Civilian defence breathing equipment  ( 1954 )

The Swiss double rescue breathing equipment is composed of two Bata Bergungsmaske 54 connected together by means of two long rubber corrugated hoses to an Y shaped fitting to be connected to the PA 2000 filter and air pressure device. 

 

This special equipment is allowed to rescue a wounded person with breathing difficulties. One mask for the wounded person the other one for the rescuer.

 

The whole equipment is carried in a large bag with a shoulder strap.

 

 

 

Bergungsmaske 1954 BATA  Civilian defence mask  ( 1954 )

The Swiss Bergungsmaske 1954 Bata is a simple hooded flat design mask made of black partly moulded partly glued rubber. It is a very close design to the old B-maske of 1920.

 

A quite small Triplex glass eyepieces are maintained on the mask by means of metalic rings screwed on a metallic supports itself tightened on the facepiece.

 

The exhale valve is located on the left side cheek in a small rubber housing moulded with the facepiece

 

The filter is directly screwed on the mask.

 

The mask is carried in a bag with shoulder strap.
